This event helped educate veterans about cannabis.
On June 27, 2018 DAB Nation hosted Dabs4Vets, a nonprofit social and educational event for military veterans where they can learn about cannabis as a medical treatment.
“I encourage veterans to use cannabis as a catalyst to get back to the things they love to do,” explained Veteran’s Walk and Talk’s Colin Wells. “I used to like to hike, and play basketball, and walk my dog, and run, and work hard, and be with my friends, and joke, and all that stuff, and I lost sight of that because of my addiction and PTSD. And cannabis was the reason why I was able to do the things I loved again.”
Dabs4Vets was created by SHO Industries as a way to say thank you to vets and give back to the community. #TeamSHO invited vets from the Los Angeles area to join them for a night of entertainment, food, education, and of course, cannabis.
Thanking veterans for their service is just the beginning, though. The event was also about PTSD awareness since it fell on National PTSD Awareness Day. The veterans who attended got to sample products from a variety of weed extract, flower, and glass sponsors. Every veteran who attended also got a free goodie bag and went home with raffle prizes from the sponsors.
