A Girl Scout sold 300 boxes of cookies outside a dispensary. It’s no secret to anyone whose tried it that cannabis gives you the munchies. One scout in San Diego took advantage of that fact and camped out in front of the most ingenious place to sell cookies — a dispensary.
At this location, right outside of Urbn Leaf, she was able to sell 300 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. The shop even helped her advertise with a post on Instagram saying “Get some Girl Scout Cookies with your GSC today until 4 p.pm.! Have a friend that wants to #tagalong? Bring them with — shopping is more fun with friend anyways.”
This isn’t the first time a smart Girl Scout and her parents have taken advantage of people with the munchies. In 2014, a scout sold 177 boxes in two hours outside a San Francisco dispensary. Girl Scouts of Colorado spoke out against the move in a tweet, but the post has since been deleted. There are no official rules against the practice, and the decision of where to sell cookies is ultimately left up to the parents. So, when you think about it, the move is more a savvy marketing strategy than anything questionable.
