NYC Patent Coffee Shops Offers CBD-Infused Drinks

This Manhattan coffee shop called Patent Coffee is changing its spring and summer menu to offer CBD-infused drinks.

“People in Midtown are always stressed and out they love hearing that something can relax them without making them zombie-like,” explained manager/head barista Emily Williams. “Right now, we’re featuring a CDB cold brew and a CBD Arnold Palmer, and so that’s kind of like a non-caffeinated drink for people that don’t want that caffeine, but we can also add it to any drink that you’d like.”

Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t have psychoactive properties, so it won’t make you high. It also comes with a myriad of health benefits.

“CBD is great for your health. It has — how I like to explain it to people who have never heard of it before is, it’s all the benefits of pot without the psychoactive part,” explained Williams. “So, you’re not high up here, but it kind of brings — the visual I give people is, it brings my shoulders from here, just like down a little bit. It just kind of relaxes me.”

So, next time you’re in midtown Manhattan, keep an eye out for the sign — it’s hard to miss, considering it’s covered with pot leaves.
