Seth Rogen Announces 'Hilarity for Charity' 420-Friendly Carnival

Seth Rogen is throwing a 420-friendly carnival filled with famous comedians to benefit Alzheimer’s research.

Rogan tweeted a wacky advertisement for the event on August 26, 2019. Though details about how cannabis fits into the carnival aren’t clear, the event’s website lists a plethora of comedians and celebrities, including Ilana Glazer and Regina Hall. There will also be a halfpipe demonstration by skateboarder Tony Hawk and a performance by Anderson .Paak.

Actor Josh Gad, who voices Olaf in “Frozen,” tweeted his excitement for the carnival, stating, “I will be at this fair. This is the only fair I will attend this year other than my children’s book fair which has a lot less readily available weed.”

Hilarity of Charity is a nonprofit organization founded in 2012. Rogan and his wife, actress Laruen Miller Rogan, started it after Lauren’s mother Adele was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. In 2014, Rogan also testified during a Senate committee hearing on Alzheimer’s disease and opened up about his family’s experience.

More than 5.7 million U.S. adults live with Alzheimer’s, a progressive brain disease that primarily affects people over 65.

The Hilarity for Charity County Fair will take place on September 14, 2019 in downtown Los Angeles.
